I think she said in a press conference that she would like to pursue further study. Here I am, studying and wanting to play tennis. Someone tell her that studying isn't all that fun...

There is a common thing that affects us all...simply because God loves us and God has done so much for us, it is easy to become lulled into a false sense of security...and this is why many churches and Christians around the world have become so comfortable. Today's sermon, especially, brought to note the number of times the New Testament mentions suffering as a price that all authentic disciples of Christ must pay. We don't know when, we don't know how...but just as Jesus glorified the Father by obeying Him to death on a cross, so we too must be prepared to suffer, for the glory of the Father.

There are many many other examples of how people have become self-focused, even in a Christian context. It is important to always remember that the main character of the Bible is not us; it is God. When we read Exodus, we tend to think of Moses leading the Israelites of Egypt...WRONG. It was God bringing his chosen nation to the promised land...When we read Daniel, we think of how he was such a hero of faith...WRONG. It was how God was faithful to those who choose to serve Him.

Really?

So why is it that, in the school where I taught, half the chinese teachers were from Mainland China?

Perhaps it is true that there is a proportion of the population that is very out of touch with reality.

So I went with Mother to Kallang Leisure Dome today after work to get...a new tennis bag!! Okay this is really sweet, very well-padded so I can check it in with peace of mind, and it's not too bulky, but fits all the stuff I need. With my current racquets it fits just nice, so it will (hopefully) deter me from getting any more racquets.


But that was not my highlight of the day. "WHAT?!" I hear you say...well yeah. So after that, mother walks into pharmacy and sees...a lipstick stand!

It's been a while since I've been to a buffet, but how do you resist one that has stuff like snow crabs and sashimi? Being a serious japanese food fanatic, I joined leoj, bird, s.low and kojipun (a.k.a. Sudoku Queen/400 point IQ) for dinner at Kuishin Bo. It was really good...and really good fun with them educating me in the ways of the buffet. Definitions such as SWF and HQF, buffet clothes, strategies, etc...
